Not all transitions are bad, but they all involve change. Some may feel minor, while others challenge our basic sense of identity and purpose.

Endings are, in many ways, experiences of dying. The way we experience the world shifts, and we must adapt.

Finish Well

  • Honor the Past. Celebrate what has been accomplished.

  • Identify Milestones. Create a clear exit plan with meaningful goals.

  • Bring Necessary Closure. Mark and symbolize your experiences.

Mind the Gap

  • (Re)Discover Identity. Have a clear picture of who you are.

  • Nature/Nurture/Choice. Understand your tendencies and impact.

  • Tendencies and Perceptions. How do you show up with others?

WHAT IT IS

Like a field laying fallow, there is a necessary season between our endings and re-birth.

This season can be a seemingly unproductive time. But that’s the point. The Messy Middle is the space where our self-concept catches up to our reality.

WHAT THEY ARE

True beginnings come from an inner shift, not just external changes. This is when we realign with our deep desires and clear purpose, bringing back motivation, energy, and vision.

Not every step forward will be perfect. This is about noticing new opportunities and where they may begin to intersect with our hopes and values.
